You've got to remember; when it comes to custom builds, it's rare that they look alike.

However I think that the basics like a mobo installation don't really change.

I have been slowly working on a video based one and maybe now that I am doing 8 months of 12 hour graveyards, I will get around to finishing it. The one I have been working on would be AVI based broken into short easy to watch sections on a CD.
The reason for breaking it down into segments is that I still have a Southern accent that will put you to sleep after about 5 minutes of listening to me.

Although I know it's alot of work, I would also like to see a slightly improved guide. Not so much for the assembly, but for current buying tips.

Current buying tips--as inproduct reviews?

If you don't mean that, and are talking about actual purchase tipsm then all I have to say is product quality and prices change on a daily basis; too much for an article on buying tips, I think.

That kind of information has to be user generated. Its just too much work for me to write a whole tutorial on it myself, especially sicne as soon as I post it its obsolete when you start mentioning specific items.
