What happened to P2P?

I went to look at Sharaza and Kazaa's websites and it appears that they have turned legal.

Is this really kazaa or another company using kazaa's name?

You sound gravely disappointed StickE .

P2P just means that you're sharing files with other users, it has nothing to do with whether the service is free or payed.
