Windows 98 isn't installing
I just bult my own computer and everything is in, but when i put in the windows 98 cd and press enter it just doesn't work. It's not the cd drive becuase other cd's work in DOS. Has this happened to anybody else?

I don't think it works that way.
with the cd in the drive type the drive letter X: then type setup and then it should install |

Copy the cab files of the Windows CD to the hard drive first. It'll make your installation a LOT easier and better down the line. You won't have to keep using the disk. Check this link:

My hard drive isn't detected, is it beacause it is an ATA hard drive?

Do you mean SATA? Because as far as I know you won't have any problems with ata. Are you using RAID? Is the power wire firmly in the drive, and the same with the ide ribbon cable?

Are you booting the computer with the CD in the drive? That's how it's supposed to work.
