Compressing Video Files
What would be a good program to compress video files such as .avi. I've recorded some videos with fraps, they are only like 40 sec long but like 60mb. Thats waaay to big.

Open in Virtualdub, select Video, Compression, and choose a good quality codec (DivX 5.x). Save as avi.
The codec is configurable, just click the "configure" button (DUH!)

No, there are lots of free versions. Divx Pro 5.11 does cost money. www.divx.com
3.11 alpha and 4.x are free. |
