Hi,
I tried to redistribute free space for my partitions and closed it before it was done. Now i do not have access to one of the partitions. I tried to do a system recovery but it says that it wont be able to restore the changes made to that same drive. It doesnt have a drive letter anymore and wont let me assign one to it. It says its a RqRP type of partition (if that helps someone, cause i have no clue..) instead of NTFS. Any help so i could be able to access the partition again would be great. Thanks |

you may have to delete all partitions and start over.
fdisk can remove a non dos partition. |

You may be able to access that partition with Partition Magic. Typically you shouldn't try to change partition size with an os (XP) when you have data installed on the drive. Always best to use a third party software, like PM, to REpartition.

I did use PM8.
I just shut it down in the resize process. Now i get a PqRP thing. In the PM8 help file it says to contact tech support to be able to recover my info. Was wondering if someone knew what they were going to tell me to do. |

Probably tell you how to use the back up disks they recommend you make each time. You did make restore disks, right?

Hope you didn't have anything important on that partition - because you are probably going to have to delete it and recreate it.
