Gmax

Hey guys, I'm just learning to use GMAX. Im trying to make a little body, but when I tried to map a smily face to the head it won't show in the viewports. I assigned mapping cords to the sphere, and in the material editor, it shows the sphere and the smily like it should be, but not in the viewports. THX for the help.

You'll find more help for this sort of thing on gamedev.net, but I used gmax once... years ago... There's got to be a setting to tell it how to render the viewports. The defualt is probably wireframe, but you have to tell it to do texturing. Most likely you right click in the frame for it, same as 3D Studio Max.
