corel photo error

I have a corel photo 3 on my PC and have always used it, recently a friend gave me a copy of ACDsee pro when I loaded it on and used it with no problem. However I liked the idiot user friendliness of Corel. I opened Corel to do some photo editing and I got a IE error and it took everything off my desktop except my wallpaper, had to shut down through task bar. I tried reloading Corel and even removed ACDSee and reloaded Corel and it still does the same thing. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

What O/S?

CPH 3.0 doesn't work well with non win9x systems, unfortunately.

Sorry, I dunced it and should have put my os...it's WINME for now. I had been using Corel with no issues for a couple years, until I thought I was being crafty in getting a free copy of ACDSEE pro, and it all went downhill. I guess I will mess with the ACDSEE software and see if i can get used to cropping and compression etc. Until I get my new build that is...

ME is a win9x-based O/S. HOWEVER, it is widely known for bugs, errors and all sorts of random and quirky problems.

Try Irfanview. It's free, not bloated, and very basic, but I'd bet it will do what you need unless you need advanced editing functions. I've never seen it screw with any version of Windows.

Thanks guys, I will try that program. I don't need anything fancy at all just making pictures cropped and compressed enough to send to family with dial up connections and not distort the picture like the software that came with the camera does.
