One Excel File is very slow to open

I use Excel quite a bit and I have one file in peticular that opens extremely slow. It is my largest file (69,008 kb) but it still takes about 2 minutes 30 seconds to open. I run Win2000 pro and my anti-virus is Norton AV2003. I have unchecked the Office Plug-in within Norton. I have emptied my Temp folder. Nothing I have done has helped much at all. I hope someone has the magic suggestion.

Why is it so big? If the answer is casue there is a cell waaaayyyy down at the bottom/right with something in it you should delete/move it up so teh file does not need all of the intervening cells.

If we are talking a big file of stuff then all I can suggest is breaking it up into smaller files, that is a pretty big file and a slow load would make sense.

You also have to turn off the internal virus scanner in Excel, that scans for macro viruses.
