MIA AIM Buddy List

My fiance recently had her buddy list completely disappear. Any ideas why. Im thinking a virus ate it, but I like some other ideas.

Anyone that would create a virus to make your buddy list disappear needs a hobby, STAT. That being said, I am sure it is around somewhere. Is she not able to view it, or what? Can you be a little more specific as to what the problem is, when it started, and what she was doing when she noticed that it was gone?

Ironically I asked her the same questions. All she told me was that, she logged in and they were gone. Did a virus scan, and ran Ad-aware (found 200 or so spyware files, not including cookies). I told her to try and reinstall AIM, but no dice. Buddy list still didnt show up. Im thinking maybe somehow AOL has erased it on their servers because she cant get it on anyone elses computer either. Ive told her the same, but she just tell me to fix it. Anyhow thxs for the help. Sorry I can provide more info.

What kind of internet connection is she running on?

[edit]: Also, what version of AIM, and do the buddy groups show up?

I assume she never did a backup of her buddy list? If she did, it can be reloaded, look for a .blt file.
