How to use the mail programs.
Ok, I have absolutley no idea how to use mail programs. Like ximian mail, Thunderfox (or the one that comes with mozilla firefox), Outlook, etc, u got the idea. Anyways, I can get my user name in alright, no problems, but when it asks me for what incoming and outgoing servers, are, and if im using IMAP, or POP, or something, I just randomly click on one of them because I dont realy know what it is. Can someone give me a little step by step tutorial on how to use the mail programs, the HELP guides that come with the programs just suk. Thanx in advance!

To properly configure your e-mail client, you are going to need the documentation provided by your ISP. It all depends on how they are set up.
Most ISPs provide POP3 servers. The server names are always different, but if your e-mail address is bob@joe.com, then the POP3 server may be mail.joe.com, or email.joe.com, or something else entirely. You really need to ask your ISP; most have a web page listing everything that you need to know. |

Do you have a Yahoo e-mail address? Generally, you can't use e-mail clients for web-based mail (Hotmail, Yahoo, and so forth).

I took the liberty to look up your IP:
Mail server settings Incoming mail server (POP3): incoming.verizon.net Outgoing mail server (SMTP): outgoing.verizon.net Your Verizon Online user name Your Verizon Online password If you can install Linux, setting up a mail client is child's play.
