CD Burner software

Hey,
Just bought a second hand CD burner without software.

Just wondering what freeware I can get that is easy to use ( never used a burner before).

CD is an ACER 8*4*32 Don't know if that is important or not.
BTW what is ISO?

Well, I don't know about freeware (except Windows XP's own burning engine), but Nero Burning ROM is the best burning software around. You can download a trial. If Nero Express is all you need, it only costs a few bucks.

ISO is an image. It's a file on your hard drive that you can treat like a CD. You can load it into a CD emulator, install programs, or games.
I have all my games as ISOs. That way I don't need to insert a CD anymore if I want to play a game, I just load the ISO into the emulator.

There's Burn4Free, but DeepBurner is the best.

DeepBurner is excellent but you're right, it does not have a copy function. If you want to copy CD's you could download the trial version of Alcohol 120% or buy Nero 6.0 for $4.50.

Cool

I have read some positive feeback on cd burner xp pro freeware available here . I downloaded the software, however have not installed it yet. I use alcohol 120% for copying disks.
cheers, ~pawprint~

Personally, I'd paid the few bucks for at least Nero 6 Basic. A lot of other programs, use it for an engine.
