Video Problems

After being without media player I now have Microsoft Windows Media Player 9. The only problem that I am having is that when i try to play videos on it the video is "jumping". I can hear the sound perfect and the video does play but like i say it jumps about.

Is it all the videos that you play? Are you playing them off a site or your desktop? Have you tried playing other videos from other sites.

Try Atomfilms.com. Play the WM versions of the movies.

Ive got at least 64mb of RAm it could be more but im not certain

I dont know what the video card model number is

Processor is a pentium 3

I probably dont have all the updates for it cos im not connected to the internet at home. Can i get the updates from another place and put them on my computer

The reason i cant be certain of these things is because it was built by somebody that lives near me.

Fibre Optix
The videos are being played from my documents. Im not connected to the internet at home so i cant try that site.

If the 64mb of ram is for the compuyer, you probably need more ram. For Win 98 or ME 125 to 256mb, if XP 256 to 512mb. Your video card may not be up to snuff or need the latest drivers for it.

Defrag your drive.

How big are these videos? File size and dimensions?
