ummm, bit torrent?
ok, well idk if anyone could help me, but i seem to be havins slow downloads with bit torrent, i've tried suggestions that i found on other forums. but i wanted to get feedback for myself. i do not have a firewall or a router. i'm using cable at 1mb. if anyone has any suggestions plz let me know

I've used BT before, and I'd have to say that the best way to increase your download speed is to use a client that you can limit your upload speed with. I did a test just for kicks with the base BT client and a 3rd party client (there are tons of them, I suggest checking out SourceForge and pick out one that catches your eye) which allowed me to set a max upload speed. I set it around 5-10k and my download went much faster than with the basic BT client. That's something you may want to look into.
