DesertEagle's WMP Help
Hey,
Glc closed down the other help thread, so I'm making a new one to help DesertEagle. DesertEagle, we need to know exactly what is going wrong with your drive and also give us a step by step of what you're doing when attempting to burn a music cd.

Please answer the question that I asked when I closed the thread so we have a baseline to go from. I do not feel that Real One or Musicmatch is the answer to your problem, we need to make sure you can burn an audio CD from files that are on your hard drive with the software that came with your burner before we can even try troubleshooting WMP. Let's try to keep this new thread a lot more structured, please.

Oh s***, I accidently posted a new thread because I didn't even see this one. Oops! (more like OH F***, please don't yell at me Mr. Moderator guy)
Ok me and I think it was OMG or you Tomster who told me I cant burn stuff from the WMP media guide, wich I used to do all the time. I think we can give up on WMP, and then move on to something else-but you say Musicmatch and realone arent too good? Well I got both of them, and neither do I. I couldn't get the files from the web. There isn't really anything wrong with my drive, its the the files I have a lot of trouble with. |

glc will handle closing down the other thread, lets just use this one.
Like glc is saying, are you able to burn anything with your cd burner? What kind of software came with your burner? |

Glc, sorry but I can't remember what question you asked and I can't really find the old thread.

He asked you the same question I did and you just answered it. So you can burn data, just not music. Well first you have to have actual copies of the mp3s on your hard drive before you can burn them. Grab some random music cd of yours and dump those songs onto your pc through WMP. When you're done post back.

Use the "Create Audio CD for Car or Home CD Player" option in Record Now, drop some mp3's into it from your hard drive (the actual files, NOT your playlist) and see what happens. You *should* get a CD that will play in your boom box, Walkman, or your car, a simple audio CD. THIS is the baseline I'm trying to establish, not whether you can burn simple data CD's.
The deluxe version of Record Now can interface with WMP9 and will look for playlists - I don't know if the basic version you have will do this, but if it does, you may have an interaction issue here. |
