XP is 2002, are you updating Office XP or Office 2003?

I don't know if this applies here, but I had the same problem (files not found) when installing XP for a customer recently. We switched from his cd rom to the burner and the files were found immediately. Could be the reader in the burner uses a higher sampling rate and finds files not found by a cheaper reader.

I have since begun using my burner as reader on a permanent basis. These type of problems (files not found, failed burn programs, etc.) have all but disappeared.
