Word processor file conversion

Hi,

My friend has a Brother LW-450 wordprocessor which is proving to be very unreliable. He wants to be able to access the text that is held in these files but does not have anything on his PC to do this.

Can any of you recommend a decent bit of software that will extract the information from these files so that he can reformat it into say a Word document, or just be able to view it at least?

The files have a .wpt extension, but they are not MS Works files. The word processor must be approx 10 yrs old!

Any help will be much appreciated!

Check out: http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=WPT
Scroll down to the Section that identifies WPT as Brother Word Processor Document. In the Associated Links section you should see 3 links for sites with conversion software.
