installing game....

i am trying to install MAFIA on my hard drive. havent played it for a while so i fancied have a go... anyway. During installlation it freezes so... i took the disk out and noticed it was a little scratched. i lightly wiped the disk with a new clean polisher... (was new out the packet) very lightly just incase it was just dust....anway.. no luck.. i thought, maybe if i copy the disk i can use the copy to install the game... no luck.. beacuse the disk couldnt be read... so i copied all the contents of the disk onto my hard drive and made a new cd with all the contents from the original cd. but when i put it in it asks for CD1


any help please

The orginal game CD probably has copyright protection on it to prevent making a copy. Check with the company to see if you can get a replacement copy for your damaged CD.
