network connection

I have to work on somebodies pc and I have to bring it to my house to work on it ....he dials up thru AOL on a dialup 56k connection and i dialup thru my local isp....I do not know what os he has but I need to make a new internet connection in his pc so I can d/l needed av,spyware and firewall programs onto his pc ....so my question is ..how do I make a new connection with his pc on my dialup???..........I cannot remember how I did it on mine it was so long ago

Download the utilities and burn them to a CD or load it on to a thumb drive. Then you can just load the programs on to the other computer without having to mess with his isp settings.
Also, you should be able to use his AOL dial-up as long as you have his login info and lives in the same general area as you.

if you are wanting to use your isp go to control panel, internet connections, new and enter your info.

i have a cd burner but i know with AVG you have to d/l at your i.p. addy don`t you???

i will burn and learn as I go ....

I have used a utility CD iwth AdAware, AVG, Spybot, and everything has worked fine. You need a code to install AVG, but it isn't tied to a particular computer.

ok all done ........
i did as drgonzo said and made a utility disk with those programs on it and just copied them over ........
