Computer Stays Slow after Closing Large Programs
My computer isn't slow normally, but when i use Sapien, which is part of the HEK(Halo Editing Kit) it slows down. Thats not the problem, the problem is that is stays slow even after i close it. How do i allow my computer to return to being fast without having to restart my computer.
PS: When i open task manager, it says that it uses 90% of my CPU and 225,000 kb of mem usage, and my pf usage goes from 200mb to 650mb |

Most probably it's a bug with the program itself where it's not returning the memory it took. Does it happen with other programs too?

Then the program it's the culprit. You may try looking for a patch or reporting the problem to the developer. I know that does not sound like much help, but it's really all you can do.

After closing it, wait for all hard drive activity to stop - then open task manager. If the process is still running, kill it. If not, use a ram freeing app, I use FreeRAM XP Pro 1.40 for this.
http://www.yourwaresolutions.com/ I do not run it in the background or in the startup - I open it manually when I need it then close it. |
