Bittorent Help
Currently torrent is locking up my comp, i can get up in morning and its all locked up and i have to restart.
If i try to open any other application it seizes, if i run mouse pointer over task bar i get the busy icon and cant click anything, cant even click start button have to completely reset PC I changed the settings as someone said it could be too many incoming connections but again it still happens Does anyone have any other ideas what is causing this? Ive used the latest Dload of the main Torrent webbie and that did it so i tried the Tornado client and that did it as well. Im uttery out of ideas as im not a tech head. if anyone has any ideas what is causing this please let me know. Basically i have used torrent for more than a year and the lock ups are generally a new thing only started like 6-7 weeks ago. Would trying an old client make any difference and if so anyone know where i can dload it. Tried about my 5th client tonight and exactly the same happens. Also was mentioned was ZA could be causing it anyone know if this is the case? cheers again if you need anymore info ill reply here and let u know. |

Hmmm, it might be possible that ZA could cause the problem. I've currently stopped using ZA, and am now using the Sygate Personal Firewall. What I also did was to open a few ports that BT uses (found the information via google). Those are TCP 6881-6889 as well as 9581. Doing that seemed to help performance.
Also, you may want to run AV and spyware checks, just to be safe. You should be doing these things anyways. |
