question about ad-aware files
I used Norton Antivirus to scan for ad-aware and viruses and it displayed some ad-aware threat files. Norton shown where the file could be found. I have tried to go into that directory to delete the file but I couldn't find the folder anywhere. For example, C\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\THI5413.tmp\mxTarget.dll and mxTarget.dll is an ad-aware threat file but I couldn't find the Local Settings inside the Owner folder. Is it because windows hid it for security purposes?
Thanks in advance. |

It's like you said, that is a hidden folder, but no big deal, while in windows explorer, click on Tools > Folder options > View (tab) and then show all hidden files and folders.
I don't know if you're using it or not, but if Norton is saying you could have some ad-aware, why don't you look at getting the adaware scanner and spybot search and destroy. Both do a great job at hunting down spyware and adware. |
