Hey,
Lately, I've been on my guard on spyware/adware and such, running many protective programs, such as AVG, Adaware, etc. I've noticed as I sifted through my "Add/Remove Programs" List that there was a program called "Viewpoint Player" cleverly disguised in WMP icon. Now, in this thread, glc mentioned that the cause was AOL Instant Messanger's new version, which every AIM member was forced to download to continue service. Any trusted sources of removal? I'm reluctant to just go into "Add Remove Programs" and remove it, as it would likely come back again, through dll files and such. Adaware/Spybot/TrendMicro's OfficeScan NT (same engine as Housecall)/AVG all failed. Thanks, kram

I always use the uninstall and then run an Ad-aware scan which has always come up negative, so it works.
