Computer Problems

hey guys,

first time i post on software forums... not sure where to post this...
im not sure it still applies, because i used registry healer to clean some of my registry entries.. but my computer keeps freezing when i try to run a few programs simultaneously... i did a full system scan with AVG (updated) and it didnt find anything, also cleaned computer with ad-aware.. its very strange, CPU load gets to 100% and when i ctrl+alt+tab the System Idle Process reaches 100% on the CPU tab, and it just freezes like that, usually i can somehow move mouse and maybe even go to start>shutdown, but it just freezes and doesnt restart, so i have to do it manually...

any ideas guys ? i think ill defrag the computer before ill go to sleep, just in case...

i have, just found dap.. i used reghealer to clean some stuff, and since then its been real smooth.. i think its perfect now, till next restart :-P ill go to sleep in like an hour, so just before i go ill run a defrag to get the comp to run faster and fix it and stuff.. do u recommend me doing anything before defrag ? close all progs.. do i need to close anti virus aswell ? what else ?

Restart and run the defrag from same mode. (Press F8 before you get to the windows loading screen)
