Need proggy for mass e-mail?
Guys,
My cousin owns an Italian resturant and would like to e-mail his customers with a weekly flyer or advertisement. I believe these are going to be made using excel, but how can we send it to everyone in his e-mail list. So far he does not have all the addresses entered into any database or e-mail list of some sort. I guess we could just add them to whatever e-mail proggy he uses and then bulk them into a group and send it? Any suggestions on the most effecient way to do this. Thanks Edrod13

There are a few on this page. Keep in mind that his ISP might catch wind of this and not be happy.

When I say mass, I mean like maybe 75 addresses at most with one or two being added every month or so. I guess I could just create a list in my YAHOO account and then send it to everyone that way. It seems that most of the work is going to be inputting the addresses into my account. Any others agree with the yahoo list? oh, not sure if I mentioned this but these flyers will be sent either once weekly or monthly, so that couldn't create that much buzz with the ISP.

Does he use an e-mail client now? What kind of e-mail account is it?
If he uses something like OE to access his e-mail at cousin@italianpizza.com, then I would just use the e-mail client and forget about a Yahoo account. 75 addresses isn't many at all. |

The best that I have used is Mojo, now called Dada Mail. It does require a website though. Users can subscribe and unsubscribe. You can copy and paste email addresses into the database or import from a csv file. You can also send out HTML emails, web pages, plain text emails or combinations of both. Plus it is free.

Break the list up into groups of 15 (any more than this, and some ISP's will flag it as spam) and give the customers the courtesy of blind carbon copy. Send the mail to yourself with the group as a BCC. Any of the popular e-mail clients can manage something of this scope.
Yahoo Groups is a good option though, just block public sending to the group. It would require that each customer be subscribed to the group. |

This thread should be shut down as we have no way to verify if you are a spammer or not.

I just got an e-mail the other day, a mass e-mail (from a source that I signed up for), and at the bottom it said Powered by: Constant Contact. Remebering this thread, I copied the URL if you want to take a look. There is a fee though, but it could be something you are interested in.
