Duplicating Mac HD
Ive got a mac, and i want to replace its current 20 gig HD with an 80 gig. Before doing so i want to duplicate whats on the 20 gig to the 80 gig, so i dont have to reinstall everything.
Ive done this on a PC using norton ghost, what are my options with a mac? |

I'm assuming you have OS X, Carbon Copy Cloner will do exactly what you are looking to do, it will even ghost to FW or USB drives, Network shares, DVD CD etc, it's just a matter of using the right options. You may need to log on to the Mac as root though to allow the program to access all the system files necessary. To do this you must first enable the root account in NetInfoManager as it's locked out by default for security reasons.
