smokin MS Office 2003 for XP

This may be a stupid question BUT... I'll ask anyway. I was told I could load MS Office 2003 for XP on 2 systems without Microsoft getting pissed. Is that true or do I have to buy another Office? I already added it to a system about 2 months ago and I want to add it to my new system.

Tanks
Steve

Yes and no to your answer.
The license specifically allows you the following:
Quote:
1. GRANT OF LICENSE. Microsoft grants you the following rights provided that you comply with all terms and
conditions of this EULA:
1.1 Installation and use. You may:
(a) install and use a copy of the Software on one personal computer or other device; and
(b) install an additional copy of the Software on a second, portable device for the exclusive use of the primary
user of the first copy of the Software.
Meaning you can install it to a second "portable" device.

Didn't know that - "portable" device? I'm imagining that many have interpreted that to mean you could load it onto a laptop and a desktop.

yea, its nice. saves a bit of money when you have 3 people with a desktop and laptop each in the same house. cuts down on costs a bit.

That's the way I've done it too. My daughter has a single copy on both her laptop and desktop and I have another copy on my laptop and desktop.

Talking

Thanks to everyone. That saves me a few bucks. My Boss did that with XP Pro... and guess what happened... he got a message to call MS and his system was hosed untill he called. Then he had to purchase a new copy of XP. But I thought there was a big difference between the license in XP and MS Office.

Good news, thanks

There is a difference between the 2 licenses, your boss' system was "hosed" as per the EULA.
