Photoshop Elements 2.0…
I really want Photoshop, but with the $600 price tag no way! So I am wondering if Photoshop Elements 2.0 for $90 would do it for me. I mainly want it to resize and play around with pictures (photo-chop cars, ect.) Does Elements have most of the features that a basic user like me wants/needs? I understand that the full version is pretty intense and that most home users do not even need all of the stuff that it comes with.

I've used both programs. I'm not a pro photographer, I just do pictures for websites and personal use. Elements 2.0 does everything *I* need. It has nearly all the features of Photoshop. It doesn't have Image Ready (to make animations), it can't do splices, and doesn't have some of the other sophisticated features. But it does do everything that the amatuer photographer might need.
And it's much easier to learn and use. |

Before you spend $90, see if the free Irfanview will do what you need. I think I'd spend $90 on Paint Shop Pro before I'd pay that much for Elements.
