free fax program

I'm looking for a fax program,for both sending and recieving faxes,preferably free,download--If there is such an animal...TIA...

yes it is dialup, but it's not for me,BTW,I like the web page you directed me to, I was not aware that win2K had that capability..I'm looking for my brother who is running win 98se...

Ooops. I saw win2k in your signature.

Does his modem have the "capibility" of faxing? If so, it should have come with software.

now that I dont know,his computer is an off the shelf type,I believe it is a Dell so I'll have to ask him what modem he has. Thanks EzyStvy for the response...GaryD..

Install MS Fax.

Place the Windows 98 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
Right Click on the CD-ROM, click on open.
Double click on tools.
Double click on oldwin95.
Double click on message.
Double click on us.
Double click on wms to install windows messaging.
Double click on awfax to install MS-Fax.
The computer will prompt you to restart the computer. Click yes.
Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, Fax, Compose new fax to run the setup wizard for MS-Fax
After the wizard has been run, you are ready to send faxes.
