Recording a DVD clip
Is there a software program that will allow me to record a clip off of a DVD as it is playing in Windows Media Player or PowerDVD? I don't have any video capture hardware and I am hoping that I will be able to use a software program or such. Thanks.

There is actually freeware around that will allow you to capture DVD clips, depending upon what format to which format it to be captured. Try www.videohelp.com

What you can do is to rip the contents of the DVD onto your hard drive and then use a video editing program (one that can handle MPEG-2) to cut like you desire.
There are also freeware mpeg-2 cutter like MPEG2CUT for example. RJ
