Norton Ghost

Hi to everyone.
Need help. Have a strange problem.
I have made a image of partition from 8G hard drive (WinXP OS ).
Then I have installed new 43G hard drive, and tried to restore partition from
the image to that new hard drive. I have spent about 10 hours, but always get error when
tried to start computer after restoring image – “Error loading operation system”.
And one time different error – “No operation system”.
Could somebody explain to me what could be a problem?
Thanks in advance.

Well don't think so. Old hard drive was IDE and new one is IDE too.
Any more ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Restore the image to the exact same size partition - and see if Windows will start. If it will, then use Partition Magic to adjust partitions to your preference.

Ok, I have figured out something. Looks to me that it is hard drive problems, but I could be wrong. I did the same with another hard drive Maxtor 10 G (disk clone) – no problems at all. Computer was ready in 25 min.
The hard drive which did not work – IBM Deskstar model: DTLA-307045 46.1 G.
Does anybody know any particular problems with that type of hardware or how to fif the problem I had?
Thanks in advance.
