splat subtitles

Ok, I got a bit of an interesting problem. I occasionally download japanese anime, like dragonball gt, heatguy-j, inuyasha, to name a few. I was wondering how can add subtitiles to some of these video clips as not all are either converted to english or have subtitles already added. What i want to know is how i can either convert these to english, or add subtitles to them. Thanx for reading this.

well, i guess if you knew japanese you wouldn't need the subtitles, so i guess subtitling it yourself is not an option. i don't think there are any automatic subtitling programs, but i could be mistaken. might just want to get yourself a japanese dictionary

to add the subtitles, tho, all you need is a video editing program that has titling capabilities. then you just type whatever you want to show up

Thanx for the reply, but like you said I am a dunce when it come to foriegn languages. I don't even think a dictionary would help since i could not differentiate between the words to translate it.

Anybody else ... please.

If you only have the sound (with no subtitles at all) then I guess the only chance is to find someone who speaks japanese and ask him to create the subtitles.

If there are japanese subtitles then a dictionary should help .. . or you find a japanese speaking person as well.
