Firefox is a browser client, just like IE, Netscape, or Opera. It doesn't care how you are connected to the Internet, and it doesn't deal with those networking details.

Mozzila is a lot better because it is a lot more secure than ie since not a lot of people are trying to screw up mozzila as they are IE. Also it has a built in pop up blocker so you don't get any of those anoying things, you can change the skin/theme (I like that), and it is free. But so is IE. I am using it and I will never use IE again!

12yearold,
Another interesting thing about Firefox is its adherence to markup standards. While IE "assumes" a webpage author is negligent, and thus often times tries to "guess" at how best to render a webpage, Firefox sticks to its guns when it comes to by-the-book HTML. This translates into obvious rendering errors on some poorly written webpages. Its fun!

I just recently switched to Firefox myself. I'm pretty happy with it. The tabbed browser is pretty cool and makes surfing multiple pages on a site much easier. Especially when in the PCMech forums!
As stated above, it doesn't matter how you connect, it will use that default connection. You can import all your favorites from IE into Firefox also. With firefox 0.9.3, it doesn't have any skins yet. Atleast I haven't been able to find any that will work....yet. Most of the skins work with 0.9.0. If you switched to Firefox, I'd recommend Thunderbird also. I like it better than Outlook Express. Scomac |
