Question Turning bmp images into jpg imges ??

Is it possible to turn bmp images into jpg images?

And witch type are smaller?

Yes it is possibe to changs the format from bmp, to jpeg, with a image editing program such as Microsoft Picture IT, which is what I use, and jpeg's are much smaller that is why we use them for the web pages and emailing and such..

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer will also convert bmp's and jpg's.

I think you can also open a bmp file in MS Paint and then 'Save As' and select JPG as the file type...

don't use Paint..you wil loose quality this way.. Get AcdSee or Ulead PhotoImpact or PhotoShop

Yeah, IrfanView can convert, resize, view your images as thumbnails, view your images as a slideshow, do some minor editing and the latest version will create a panoramic image. Great free image utility.
