system32.exe or dll whatever...
long time ago i had a virus that got into system 32.exe and i had to delete it from command prompt mode so now i get a error saying it cant find it on start up. everything works fine it actuily dident do anything..
I was just wondering what its supposed to do. also my spoolsvc or something spool32v.exe (something like that) is infected with a virus but it dosent seem to be spreading or doing any harm so i just leave it. ive got norton 2004 and it wont kill it so i figure ill just go to command prompt mode and delete it that way... I ALSO deleted index.dat that way or index.exe WHATEVER! it was a tip on some site with tweaks. it was supposed to store some info about stuff. but anyway what do those 2-3 files do? |

I believe that System32.exe is a virus, I could be wrong though I am new to computers. As far as the index, i believe that just keeps track of your cookies, and where you have been and such.
