Night Of The Living .ISO File

I have an .iso file backup of my Night Of The Living Dead DVD on my desktop and the thing WON'T DIE...

I keep trying to delete it or even use eraser to erase it, and I keep getting the 'file is in use by another program' error. The scary part is -- there is no other program in use! The system tray is empty; this .iso file has a life of its own!

Please help, I am very frightened.

ps

yes, I did try shooting it in the head, and it still won't die.

Have you tried deleting it in safe mode?

if forget what its called im not sure if its safe mode actuily i think it is, log in as administrator i think and you get a black screen with a command prompt (/ ) and you just type delete C:/folder/name.iso

something like that... it totaly deletes the file for existance

by the way im doing this off of tiny bits of memorys lol so DONT try that...

I guess you could try using the command prompt to delete the file. So if the file was on the desktop, you would type: del "c:/documents and settings/%username%/desktop/filename.iso" - where %username% is the login you are using.

You might also try, MoveOnBoot.

do you use any virtual drives like Alcohol120% , Dameon Tools ,Virtual CD5 etc etc ? even if they arent in the systray , a cd image could still be loaded . start the program if thats the case and unmount the image.

thanks Propain, that was the problem, I had the file mounted on Daemon tools even though I didn't have Daemon tools open.
