Think of the UBCD as a single compiled source of the most commonly used programs for testing. Rather than maintaining a file/cd/floppy of each hard drive makers set up/diagnostic software, you have them all on one, easy to carry cd. Another example, memory testing. The UBCD contains several programs suitable to test memory but most folks develop a liking for one particular program. Personally, I prefer Memtest86+. Using the UBCD allows me to insert one CD in the drive to access all my test programs without having to change disks or shuffle thru a pile of floppy disks. Those are just two examples. The UBCD has many apps for other functions too.

You can purchase it at Wal-Mart for about $40.

There is no all in one solution. It's like buying a rack stereo system.Your not getting the best of all the components.

I use

Tune-up Utilities 2008
JV 16 powertools
ccleaner

These are a great combination.

I choose many anti-spyware programs,but like SuperAntiSpyware,Spybot,Spwareblaster,and Peerguardian.

Thumbs up to the ultimate boot cd! I also like Hirens Boot.

My system is always clean of errors, and runs smooth.I could get into defrag, but this was not the subject.

Hi Guys!
just want to share something that's helpful, hope it will be a help to you peps here.....

Your PC can freeze after startup for any number of reasons. A virus could have found its way onto your computer somehow. This can happen when you open a tainted email or download something from the internet that contains a virus. Your computer’s memory could be overloaded also or your registry may need a spring cleaning.
