Uninstaller apps.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good third party uninstaller. I like to organize my start menu and you know how some apps don't let you choose the installation directory for the Start Menu shortcuts, well after said app is installed I'll manually move the corresponding folder into a different folder group within the Start Menu. By doing this though... if I were to ever uninstall the app, that folder stays there until I manually delete it. No big deal really, just curious if any third party uninstallers would help with this issue.

Why would you want to keep the shortcuts for software that you have uninstalled?

You do realize that you can freely move stuff around within the different panels of the start menu eh?

...no no

I'm asking if there are Uninstallers that will get rid of the things that I HAVE moved around in the start menu without me manually deleting them.

Hope this clears it up!

Theres an older one from McAffee; I dont know though if it will do what your talking about, or if its even XP compatable...

Do you really have that much stuff in your start menu that you couldn't just delete yourself?

well, yes. I have more then a FEW program shortcuts that I move around. I guess a better question would be what is a very THOUROGH uninstaller?

The proggy I was the thinking of is Mcafee Uninstaller v6.5

It is Windows XP compatable... And it should do what you are talking about. You can get it on ebay right now with bids starting at a 1-cent.

They have a program you can use for 30 days free call regsupreme pro. It has options for deleting just about anything on your computer. Very good too for cleaning old dlls, etc.

it's too late, but for future reference ALWAYS use "Total Uninstaller" before installing ANYTHING

http://www.geocities.com/ggmartau/

it tracks ALL modifications made by an installation package and acutally undoes what's installed on uninstallation
