Making DVD's From Camcorder

So here's the scoop...i have a digital camcorder that i want to make dvd's with, i have been useing Nero Burning Rom 6 but when I "capture" my videos from my camcorder it always "drops frames" so when i make a dvd out of it, it turns out missing frames and looks really crappy. I like Nero products alot, but my only issue is the dropped frame thing. Now i'll try to answer some of your inevidable questions:

- It is a Sony DCR-TRV250 Camcorder
- The camera does not pause, or skip or anything like that
- I don't have any other programs running that would use up my memory or load up my computer
- I have tried several times with no success

Any help would be appreciated, either with how to fix it, or another good program that includes video editing, etc.

Thanks Alot.

Hi,

did you capture directly into MPEG-2 ? If so, that's the problem. A Celly 900 is not capable of encoding MPEG-2 in realtime.
So first capture as AVI. I don't know if Nero does that, so you might want to try DVtools or Scenalyser for example. And then you can encode it into MPEG-2 format, using a good Encoder like TMPGEnc, CCE or ProCoder, they're the 3 best ones out there.
Finally you can author it, I guess Nero should do that well.
