Is there any way i can save a DVD (its short-about 6 mins) to my hard drive? How much space will it take if i can? Doesnt matter what format, i have DivX, WMP, Realplayer, thanks.

You can use DVD Decrypter to rip a DVD to hard drive. The format will still be the same, and it will take as much space on hard drive as it does on the DVD.

Well since it's a burned DVD from your friend, it got no copy protection. You can just copy the files off the DVD in Windows explorer.
