Whats the problem??!!

I have downloaded AVG free virus protection, after winxp sp2. Iget the following message window. "16 bit Windows Subsystem" (label of the box) "C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. THe system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application." (inside the msg window) What is the deal with this. I did have Sygate firewall previously on my computer but later removed it do to the lagging of my internet connection. any help possible is greatly appreciated.

Download the newest version then uninstall and reinstall.

it fixed the computer i was working on. i did not have to go on to the next phase (step 5)
