Office

Just tried installing Microsoft Office on my computer, and I got this message (I've also gotten this message when trying to install AVG and other programs before)

16 Bit Windows Subsystem

C:\Windows\SYSTEM\AUTOEXEC.NT
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications

It gives the options "Ignore" and "Quit", doesn't matter which one I click, the installation just stops.

I'm lost
Can anyone help?
Quick reply needed if possible
Thanks!
Tara!

What version of Windows do you have? How are you trying to install the programs?

Was this pc Upgraded from an older version of Windows?

The C:\Windows\SYSTEM\AUTOEXEC.NT file lives in the windows\system32 folder and shouldn't be getting called on anyway...
