Graphic Design programs
I was wondering what programs are recommended for graphic design. I don't really know anything about design, and I don't have any experience, but it is something that I would really like to get into. I'd like to find a program that is pretty easy to figure out, and has a decent amount of options and capabilities. Maybe one that can do both 3D and cartoon animation? If any could point out programs to read up about, and maybe websites with some good info, that'd be awsome! Thanks!

Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for a drawing program; I highly recommend it. I think you can download a demo from Abode's website.

Illustrator retails for around $90. Photoshop list price is @ $280. They both can be found for less.
An alternative for starting out is the CorelDRAW Suite 12. I believe it contains the vector-graphics program of DRAW as well as the bitmap editor PHOTO-PAINT, and it's about half the price. It has many of the same tools and functionalities, but it's not as powerful as the Adobe stuff. Just a cheaper alternative for learning some of this stuff.
