Installing Office XP on a second computer.

Hi all,

Is it possible to install Office XP on a different computer? I have an academic version of Office XP that I installed on my laptop...recently, my laptop quit working, and I would like to use office on my Desktop. I activated Office on my laptop over two years ago.

What kind of activation procedure will I have to do to use it on my desktop?

Actually I do believe that in the EULA for Office you are allowed to install it on 1 desktop and also 1 portable PC, and in your case since the laptop is nomore than just install the program on your desktop and activate it. If you have activayion problem then just call the 800 number and they will help you activate it..

ktkendall is correct. You should have no problem activating the desktop. Between my daughter and I we have two copies on 2 laptops and two desktops. Had to call once on a reinstall of the desktop when I changed mobo/processor combinations.
