Windows XP Startup

I have a pentium 4 2.0 Ghz with 512mb ram.

It takes me about 5 minutes to start up my pc.

is this normal because it seems to me like a real long time for it to startup.

I built the pc myself so i think maybe ive done something wrong.

please help!

Try a free utility called bootvis, it may help solve some issues.

Black Viper's site has a great list of serivces you can disable: www.blackviper.com

Just a warning: if you are planning on downloading SP2 soon, that will change some of the services back again.
