Is this a bad thing?
Hey guys,
This might be a minor thing but, is it a bad thing to just Restart or Shutdown without closing all applications first? Does it make things corrupt and mess things up? Because I did that just now and Restarted without thinking to close all the applications I had running first. I hope I didn't mess anything up. TIA...

Not a problem. Windows will shut down the open programs first before restarting anyway.

I was a bit concerned because you can sometimes get error message windows that show up a split second before the system shuts down or restarts. I got one just before I restarted just now, I didn't see it but I know that it showed up because I heard the notification sound for the error message just before it went through with the restart.
