Ghost Imaging

I am trying to image a Compaq tablet TC1000 using Ghost 7.5. When loading msg displayed Unable to locate the NIC... Driver did not load NDIS environment invalid. The driver used on the tablet is already on Ghost...Does anyone know if there are problems using Ghost with Tablet pcs?

Where is the harddrive you are copying to?? If it resides elsewhere and you are trying to use Ghost over a LAN, which is what it does sound like you are doing, then many times on laptops and tablet PC like you have and if the lan card is in a pcmcia slot than you also have to get the drivers for the pcmcia slot loaded on the boot disk also..I attempted that once to copy my laptop HD to another HD ovre lan, and I ended giving up due to not being able to get the drivers properly loaded for the pcmcia slot. On my laptop under windows it was called card srevices but I was not able to find DOS drivers for it..

I've run into the same problem as ktkendall. Even after I got the pcmcia nic drivers to load, Ghost still could not locate the laptop's hdd. The pcmica slot needed a card services driver. And I too was unable to find that DOS driver which can come from either the laptop manufacturer or a third party. You won't get the card services DOS driver for the pcmcia slot from Ghost.

Smile Ghost Imaging

Thanks for the replies...the problem was with the drivers. Those I had on looked identical to those on the Ghost machine. On investigating closer there was a slight difference. Loaded it on to boot disk and voila....success. Once again thanks.

This forum is a very helpful tool..keep up the good work.
