How do you do it????

When completing a build or maybe just a format and reinstall of your OS, you have to install many different utilities and applications.

This requires a reboot after installation.

Do you reboot after each one or do you wait until they are all in and then reboot?

I reboot after each one, that wants it, but generally I can do all the programs I need in about 5-6 reboots (I don't install much).

I generally know when a program really needs a reboot and when it is just asking for one. But it's a good idea to be careful. I once screwed up an install of Windows 2K by not rebooting after a program asked for it; all the "final install process" that had accumulated interfered with each other in some way.

When I do a fresh install, I run my a bat file that I made that installs about 20 programs that I usually install everytime and then after it finishes installing everything I have the computer reboot. i have never encountered any problems.
