Program Problems

Hi All,
I was looking around for a program to download music. I noticed that Napster is legal now in the states and that they are offering a free 7 day trial. So, I downloaded the setup file for Napster and installed it. When I click on the exe to run it, it hangs. The program does not fully load. I thougt this might have something to do with my firewall, but I disabed it and it still does not run. Any ideas?

If I cant get Napster to run, does anyone have any ideas for a music downloading program (thats legal of course), or a free trial like the one Napster is offering?

Any help would be great.

Cheers,
~sd

Bearshare is another one of the zillion illegal P2P software programs.

Check out Itunes from Apple. www.itunes.com

Doesn't Kazaa have a legal version now that you have to pay for?

P2P programs are not illegal in the US or anywhwere else. Distributing copyrighted works through P2P or any other means is illegal without the owner's consent. Limewire, Bearshare, Kazaa Lite are common P2P apps. Emule is another one gaining in popularity.

Re your kazaa question, the free kazaa has a bunch of spyware in it and I don't recommend using it. The pay version has the spyware removed and some other added features. Both are legal. Most people download the kazaa lite version which is a hacked version of kazaa with the spyware removed which is available for free.
