index.dat
Hi ive downloaded 3 index.dat file viewers. Every time they list a bunch of index.dat files. Then i delete history and cookies and temporary internet files. After that nothing comes up. Are the viewers wrong. Do they have to be installed before i visit the websites so they can save them or something. Or is my computer incredibly cool and not store index.dat. Its a compaq windows 98se.

i looked at the sizes and they were 576kb and 32kb. Shouldnt they be higher? I dont think ive seen them change. Or does it even matter if something is in it.

nevermind i just deleted it and it went downt to 16k the cookies one stayed at 32
