I'm running window XP home on two different unit a Laptop and a mini tower.
I'm trying to install some of the programs I have on my mini tower into my Laptop which is brand new. When doing so, it come up with a error box stating 16 bit windows subsystem C:/windows/system32/autoexec.net The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS & micosoft window appliation. is there a way to correct this. All these programs are running on my mini tower but not my Laptop.

Make a shortcut to the setup exe file on the CD and put it on the desktop. Next, right click on it > properties > "compatability" tab. Select "windows 98". Hit apply and ok, and you should be good to go.
